I recently had my tub/shower re-tiled, but I concerned that it may not be properly waterproofed. I am not sure why the installer did not use a pre-fab niche as I have heard they are preferred by many tile installers. At any rate, I am posting a before and after photo and would appreciate any feedback about the installation. I am happy enough with the finished look, but I have serious concerns about whether it was constructed according to industry standards.
