Referring to the energy guide for the 700TC, said energy guide says it should use 436Kwh per year. If we divide that by 365 (the days in a year), we get 1.195Kwh per day.

So assuming the Energy guide was correct, your SZ is using almost 4x the energy it should.

I would recommend you get SZ out there as see what kind of "Mickey Mousing" has gone on with that fridge, and "if" the compressor was replaced, was it replaced with the "proper one"?

An old former poster to the forum, (whom was in the appliance business), said that SZ did not use the more efficient variable speed compressors, like my 2006 Jenn-air, (and most newer fridges), but instead "Had found a way to make the old style "On/off compressors" more "efficient. (It this be the case), and the compressor was not replaced with "the more efficient old style compressor" then that "May" account for the extra power usage.

Also I don't think it helps matters having the extra compressor in the area that should be empty.

That tube from the compressor is probably the 'process tube' used to fill the system with refrigerant.

Well, what's the latest with the SZ?
