Colors in bedding

I love the bright colors in the bedding. Why are all the majority of bedrooms in this category so BLAH, no color! Why does it seem they only bedrooms that have lots of colored bedding seem to be children's. Have "adults" decided they don't like color? Or are bright colors not "sophisticated"?
