Your photos look like perfectly normal growth to me. Perhaps I don't understand which part it is you want to prune off? Indeterminate plants set flower clusters on side shoots just like in your pic so if you cut off that top growth there won't be any more flower clusters on that stem.

I would nip the branch extending from the end of flower cluster. I consider it a mishap. By doing so the energy should go to the fruits in the cluster.

Wouldn't that in a sense bring on more flowers/tomatoes? I agree with Sey, nip the the end that will not produce more flowers and out more energy in the flowers that are already occurring.
