I have a pressurized irrigation system that distributes on 1 1/4" PVC to four (4) end points fitted with ball valves and CamLock connectors. Everything is 1 1/4" (pipe, valves & connectors). After a few years the UV has weakened the ball valve handles and one broke. I can't find a replacement for the "American Valve" models and a new valve (at the home store) costs just a little over what a POSSIBLE FIT handle match (handle + shipping) would cost. Not an issue if I had not used solvent (glued) valves. Looking forward I am thinking about brass gate valves. What do you all think?
