Need help for kitchen appliance design

Am building a brand new house. Yeah, I'm so excited! Have reviewed diff style kitchen layouts and think the L-shape will be my choice. The kitchen is 17' long on the outside wall; and 12' wide (forming the short part of the 'L'. Facing the long wall the fridge is on the end at right side . Moving further to the right of fridge is the dining area. Do not need to use the entire 17' and can use about 14' instead. Space is not the problem; rather placement of the sink and oven has me in a quandary. We will have a 3'x4' island near the refrigerator end of this exterior wall; that includes a service sink and d/w. Want base cabinets, maybe one upper cabinet, and some shelves. This long wall will have three windows. My dilemma is where to put the oven/range. On the short wall? That view is not critical as it looks toward the foyer. Or on the long wall? Will vent to outside either way. It seems so obtrusive on the short wall and too crowded, along with the sink, on the long wall. What am I not seeing? Thanks for any input.
