what color would the bookcase be and if don't have granite on top, what will it have?

Also if you slightly lower the bookcase, you may be able to match up a piece of granite and have it edged to match the island, it would just be at a different level and it may not look like it was pieced together, but intended to be like that.

I personally wouldn't add a bookbase at the end. But agree with a lower height bookcase if you really want to.
