I know what you mean!! I was pretty happy that they did not come close to my squashes early on.. And thought, the marigolds were helping...then all of a sudden they show up and devastate the zucchinis... so, I just pulled the plants out and disposed them..

Now they show on my other squash vines....

The only way to reduce ( no way to eliminate them, that i know of ) them is to Squash them.. Pick en and put them in mild soapy water.. or squash them under foot. I do not like to touch them Eewwww... However I nudge them with a thin branch, into the soapy heaven..

Sabi gardens, I know what you're talking about. Squash bugs seem to be everywhere this year. And they just keep popping up, no matter how much I squish them. I used to cringe at squishing them with my fingers, but with so many of them, I got over it quickly. But they're everywhere! Nothing (organic) seems to be working.

I've never found anything that works perfectly - organic, non-organic, or squishing! What I try to do is develop a squash patch in one far corner of the garden and really baby the plants. Harvest as much fruit as possible before the bugs take over and then rip those plants out and dispose of them, wait a few weeks and start another squash patch in a different corner. It also helps that I have a basement, I can store squash down there for quite a while in between crops.
