Need help with my entryway

I really can't decide what to do with this space. The corner where the stairs are. I'd really like an office armoire that will fit my 27' Mac there so I can keep an eye on the kids but I haven't been able to find one that would fit the computer and look nice closed up. Or should I just do some kind of entryway table with a lamp? And that triangular wall?? Help!

I have the same exact nook in my foyer, I put an antique writing desk that I can set up a bar on during a dinner party or I can sit and work on a lap top on normal days. It has worked out great

How about a 3 ft round heavy/solid table, accented by an armless chair covered in a red fabric to coordinate with the color in the room beside it. Alternatively, a long sofa table against the wall with a nice print above it...same chair...you could use it as a computer desk, then

Personally I like "I I Inc's" idea..but you could try an office armoire only if it closes completely and have only a small chair with it. Or maybe an old secretary with a slanted, fold down front for your computer.

Paint color for my room is Benjamin Moore Dunmore cream it is a good transition color for foyer/hallway because it goes well with any color. I like the color of the original posters too wonder what it is?

Computer armoire, the key to this is to get the size of the piece the correct scale for the size.

I love the way the table looks, add a beautiful rug and small chair. You could still sit there with your laptop.

Wow. Looks exactly like our last house. We had a rich antique bowed chest/dresser facing the door. On top was a Special lamp and antique books with brass bookends. Looked great. Lots of compliments. I'll look for a photo. The stair runner was warming too.
