I was able to save a cutting that I cut back three times because of rot. What was once a twelve inch cutting from my first plumeria that fell off a retaining wall, and broke into pieces. Was reduced to a three inch piece. With one last try to save it. I decided to go with water rooting technique. Although it never produce roots after three weeks in the water. I put it in a pot, and month later started to put on leaves. Sure enough when I checked it had roots.
