What insects do you suspect might cause harm to those seeds or seedlings?

I have seen nothing to indicate that spraying soil with Neem Oil will be of much benefit.

Seedlings will NOT "soak up" Neem oil. It is a surface insecticide, not a systemic one.

Hi gang, I wish I’d read this before I drenched my seedlings in a neem oil solution. I had a fungus gnat problem from some plants recently delivered, and of course they made a beeline for my seedlings. I did my research for an organic solution and settled on neem oil. 5ml water to 2ml soap in 1 litre of water. I watered all the plants and seedlings yesterday early evening, and this morning my rocket (arugula) seedlings are not doing well... I think they may have been too young to take it?

Just started and have 4 plants about the size of 1/2 my thumb. I'm seeing white flies, however some are darker and appear to be having trouble flying (maybe not full grown is my thoughts). These bugs are walking on my seedlings and I'm seeing white dirt specks that I suspect are eggs. I believe these guys came in after I bought my dirt from the grow store. My plan is to buy sticky yellow pads and also spray plants and soil with neem oil spay (12oz water, 1/2 tsp neem). My hope is they will be gone before the plants move to the vegetative stage. My fear is the treatment will harm the seedlings. Thoughts on my plan?

I'd probably try to rinse them off very gently with just water first. See if that works, then move on to neem only after that. As noted above, neem can be a bit hefty for seedlings sometimes.

What kind of grubs are they? Neem oil really has minimal effect on any soil dwelling organisms so you should probably look for an insecticides that targets grubs specifically.
