That's really interesting information. I'm curious if that may be part of the reason my red ones are so dark. They are under an overhang (mainly to keep excessive rain off) and get shade all day but it's still really bright out all day, when it's not raining.

This I know...when I moved my old one to a location that got morning sun and part-shade the rest of the time, his usually coral flowers had a darker reddish tinge to it.

I don't have a great deal of experience with blooms yet, but I am eager to learn from watching this thread. Kadie you mention that you moved one into morning sun and part-shade the rest of the day. Are the plants themselves thriving still? I ask because of how I have them placed outside I am concerned with a few of my new Adeniums that are on the East side and only get morning direct sun.

I've noticed that leaving my whites out in the sun tend to have more pink. Especially my White Angel. If I leave it on the front porch where it only gets maybe 2-3 hours direct sun in the evening it gets more pure white.

I also notice the black edging on others as well as the overall red coloring on some of my others stay darker with less fading a little longer when moved to the shade when they start opening as well.
