Options for a Retainer Wall

My small retainer wall seems to be leaning. I have a professional coming next week to check on it, but I want your opinions first. Under all the vines (I can't seem to kill), the wall is made of railroad ties. I moved in May 2004, and it was 7 years old at that time. If they need replacing, what would be my best option?
Replace with something else (Please leave comment)
Replace with newer railroad ties
Wait it out until I slide down into the house below me
Replace with stones
Replace with another type of wood
No obvious signs it needs replacing
