where did you purchase the pendant lighting.? is it ok for pendant lighting to be different from the chandlier in the room?

They were existing and yes, it's fine to have the lighting be different as long as they relate in some way (either with the finish or having similar lines). Don't feel like you have to be too "matchy, matchy" you just want them to look cohesive.
