I'm new to bananas and scooped up 6 today at a local plant sale. This wasn't on a whim though and I have nearly all their homes prepped. So giddy! From left to right: truly tiny, Mona Lisa, gran nain, gran nain, pisang celan, and rhino horn plantain. And I've already forgotten the name of those barefoot bromiliads. I think an email is in order. So far I've amended my decent south Florida sand with compost, rotted cow manure, bonemeal, Epsom salt and plan to do regular foliar sprays with fish emulsion. Would any of the experienced banana people suggest anything else?
