Paint barely sticks to vinyl in a vertical position I think on a floor it would look like garbage very quickly.once it is painted the only wood grain you would see are the ridges in the vinyl there are lots of very affordable vinyl floorings on the market that is the route I would take.

Please don't paint vinyl flooring. It might 'stick' but it won't look good for very long. The time and effort (and cost of paint) you will put into this will be 1/2 way to a new floor. By the time you are fed up with the horrible looking floor, you will have wished you spent the other 1/2 and bought what you wanted = bleached wood-look flooring.

You could do this if it were hardwood...and even then the paint will slowly wear off = patina. Chips and worn-out areas would be the norm for a painted wood floor. This is vinyl. It will look like you painted vinyl.

I just got back from a few stores and that is the general concensus, so, we are going to take it up and paint the concrete!!
