Have you considered cork penny "tiles"? They look like round penny tiles (sort of a vintage/retro aesthetic for the floor) but are actually made of recycled wine corks. They are softer and warmer than tile but perform the same in terms of water resistance, and are installed like a mosaic tile. You'd have to call to see if they can be installed on a heated floor, if you're still looking for that fast-drying ability.
