The plant in the back with the purple flowers is a phalaenopsis orchid. But Bill is right, the plant in front with the red flowers is an anthurium. I recommend separating them from the same pot as they have different care needs.

I'm not the best with orchids, but if you google "phalaenopsis care," and do some research you'll find what you need!

Liz, good call. Your sharp eyes caught that, and my old ones did not. I never even looked at the blooms in the background, and would have never thought that someone would have potted the two plants together. I hope they are in separate containers, cuz if not, one of them is in an incorrect potting medium.

Nursery are doing that a lot here in Miami Home Depot, lowes and Walmart sale it in a set those are the ones I visit frequently.

Thats terrible. Both plants require different culture. The Phal will die first. Separate those plants and put the Phal (small purple flowers) in some orchid bark.

Probably that pot is not good ... Need at least a hole on the bottom. Check on that. Separate both asap
