New bromeliad seedlings Pitcairnia

Here r a group of seedlings that previously felt would not happen as tried to set seed on this hybrid & no go though last summer seed did set.

First generation Pitcairnia undulata x Pitcairnia burle-marxii images of parents below

Produced the hybrid in next image ie F1 generation

The plant above was self crossed to produce the seedlings with wide leaves in middle of this next image, the F2 generation where hopefully there will be some seedlings looking like a Red foliage P. undulata? I live in hope.... most other seedlings will be discarded.

Other seedlings in this image are of Vr. hieroglyphica (new large leaf dark markings, large plants), vriesea carinata hybrids & some new neoregelia seedlings.

I often am not on the web though will try to put images on this forum of new plants or something I feel may be of interest, am now growing dwarf crucifix (reed stem) orchids from seed also . Cheers allan
