I was watering my roses this morning and felt something crawling on my shin and there were Carpenter Ants. I looked closer and they were all through the roses, on the chain link fence, on the trees, and in the grass. There must have been close to to a hundred thousand. I kid you not. They kept crawling on me when ever I took a step. I never seen them this bad. Even when they got in the house a few years ago. They did major damage to the wood that time, almost as bad as termites. What can I put down to kill these things before they get in the house that won't hurt my roses. I would prefer something that wouldn't kill the other insects, however, I can't afford to have costly damage to the house.
