Need Advice on Flower Bed

Hello all, I am new to the forum and need some help. My house sits just about perfect running from East to West. The flower bed I have in the front of my house gets no shade during the day. With our wild rain schedules and the intense heat, I was forced to dig up all of the plants and relocate due to severe wilting (some even died). All the plants I had in the front were all rated for full sun and moderate watering until established. I had 3 hydrangeas and a good bit of salvia I planted when we moved in, also had about 3" of cypress mulch on top. Do anyone have any recommendations on plants I can put up there that can handle a full 14hrs of sunlight, heat indexes in the 100s and low watering? I intend before I replant to till up the soil and mix in some fertilizer to try to help out. Any advice is much appreciated!
