Sansevieria erythraea, this is a slow grower for me, but has been dependable.

pinguicula has jumped over into another pot. Lavranos ??? In smaller pot.

This one is Coppertone, a very sturdy plant.

Your Sans are so awesome! I'm super jealous. The only Sans I find where I am are the common trifasciatas, hahniis and the occasional cylindrical. I found some bantels sensations at one of my garden centres but they were too big for my liking. I like starting with small baby plants, 4in pots max. No fun for me in growing something that's already in an 8in pot. Just a personal thing. I've missed out on a few cool plants this way but suppose it also keeps the collection from getting too big too fast.

Thanks Bunny,. I agree, it is hard to find unusual plants locally, but sometimes they will turn up. Some of our GW members have been very generous and shared extra plants too. Some people order them from Ebay or even Thailand. I don't think I would reccomend it though. Shared plants are the very best.

I ordered 2 from Thailand several years ago. A pinguicula and a masoniana. The masoniana didn't survive - don't remember why - but the pinguicula did. I haven't ordered since as it's a fair bit of coin to order from Thailand so it hurts more when they don't make it.

Bunny, has your ping started to grow? I just about gave up on mine doing anything. It sat for over a year before it grew at all. Then one day it put out two pups. Patience is a good thing.

Oh yes. My ping started growing soon after it arrived. I've had it for several years. It was just one rosette I guess one would call it with a couple leaves when I got it. That one has grown significantly and it had one pup which has put on some size too but it put up with a lot of neglect of the past 2-3 years when I had a lot going on so it hasn't done much since. It's hung in there but seems quite happy this summer in it's outside spot with just a bit more TLC. No new pups yet though. I think patience is as important as sun and a proper soil.

I don't think they are hard to grow, but can be very slow.

I've noticed mine seems to have spurts of growth in between much longer glacial moments of nothingness. My ping actually handled the neglect better than both my trifasciatas and both my hahniis (one of which didn't make it). It didn't deteriorate like the others, it just didn't do anything. Cylindrica didn't care either.

barbmock - Your ping leaves seem to be darker, long, straighter and more compact than mine. I'm assuming this is a lighting issue or are there multiple versions of pings?

I think the pings are the same, I'll try to take a better picture.

Stush,. Thanks, good to hear from you. Some of my plants are just fine, but I did have some setbacks this spring. I put them outside in mid spring, and then we had some rain and coldsnaps. Had a few casualties.

That early last frost got some of my 'maters, barb. I was like "it's okay, I'll bring them in at night if it gets too cold" warning to the wise (no one told me) if the low is expected to be 50, expect it to be 43 and bring your summer vegetables inside!

If you were under the deck yesterday evening, you might have been blown around a bit. We had one heck of a storm, electric poles were broken, trees down, and power outtages. It is beautiful today, hot and steamy, just what our plants love.

Georgia is a lot like Florida in the summer. Storms pop up in the afternoon quite often. Oh, what does this mean? Sans serif?

It is a font type and what my phone wants to correct it to when I type in "sans".

I have seen this from other friends in other venues too. The "smart" phones
