Cloneing grafted plants

I had a question pop in my head.I'm playing with grafting and propagation and I want to ask if I grafted a plant to a root stock of choice,then later cloned that plant via cutting,will the clone drop its original roots,or the roots from the new root stock I grafted to the plant?I'm not sure what the results would be on this.I'm wanting to graft a rose to a stronger root stock to make a tougher rose.if I like it i will want to propagate that exact rose

Any cutting you take from above the graft will be identical to the graft original and if you took a cutting and rooted it you would be back to square one with the rose.

None of the rootstocks traits are actually transfered to the graft to change it biologically. Rootstocks just impart traits to the graft as long as the graft is attached to it, once cut from the rootstock the graft assumes all previous traits, including hardiness.
