Our new kitchen

We are building a new house. The hardwood floor we have picked is a dark oak ( glen Allen) stain. We have espresso maple cupboards which are also dark. The island is millstone maple which is a lighter finish. The room faces west with 6 very large windows but I'm still concerned that the whole effect will be too dark. Any thoughts or suggestions?

IMO way too much wood and too dark for me. Probably too late to change cabinet color but I would have gone white

If the darkness is your main concern, but you don't want to change anything you've already done, play up lighter accents. You can paint your walls lighter colors or lighter backsplash.
