Donate them. Fake is out.

I cannot seem to cross that line between real and fake plants. But my bathroom has no natural light, and it really needs some greenery. So you are saying in this case, it's okey? I think I am ready to cross the line!

Look at all of the popular Houzz pics. No greenery to speak of in any of them. Real and fake are both out right now.

Aspidistra and sansiveria can both take extremely low light conditions. Try them before you resort to fake.

Bathroom was the first place I added faux plants - an interior powder room with no window. It made me happy to see some greenery in there! I think you can also have fun with fake plants, not trying to fool anyone into thinking they are real but embracing their fake-ness. Once, as a joke, I stuck some purple daisy-like flowers into the foliage of a philodendron that was in a cafe I owned...for months after that I had people poking at the plant, asking me what type it was cause they wanted one too! I only meant to leave them there a day but they became a feature. Funky and fake can be fun. ;-)

I have low light in both my bathrooms and a simple philodendrun works beautifully. Very little care necessary and they grow well. I try to water once weekly, often going weeks with NO attention and they're still alive despite my accidental attempts to kill them. This type:

Okey, I'll try some real ones first, but we're not talking LITTLE natural light in my bathroom, I'm talking NO natural light whatsoever. Are there still plants that could handle this? And Sophie, I really don't care if real plants are "out", they make a room come alive, and I lover them!

An interior room with no light does not need plants, real or fake. If you love plants, use more of them in the rooms where they will succeed. Leave that bath plantless.

If your plants just don't thrive, then a 'fake' orchid might be best as someone mentioned in a similar thread, orchids look fake anyway!
