Drainage Hole For Large Flower Pot (Do I need to Elevate)?

I am, of course, new to gardening and I recently purchased 2 large ceramic flower pots. The drainage hole is on the very bottom. I have already planted Afrigan Merigolds in them and the pots are quite heavy. Will the weight of the pot prevent adequate drainage? Do I need to elevate the pots? If so, with what? My front porch they are sitting on is concrete so I don't care if my porch gets wet. Any other ideas other than bricks to elevate them? Thanks in advance.
