I want to paint the ceiling in my bedroom a dark blue. Then I'd like to apply a transparent glaze over the blue paint with a little nickel colored semi-opaque metallic mixed in. I'm looking for a very subtle, soft shimmer that allows the blue paint to show thru. I don't want any sweeping brush strokes to the glaze, just want it to give a soft shimmer. How would I apply that final coat so it's smooth when it dries? Would love the advice from a Faux Finish expert! Thanks! Mimi
