I believe it's Painted Lady hibiscus

I bought a hibiscus red plant with shiny leaves, can I leave it outdoors during the winter by cutting it down and spreading leaves over it? I live in Massachusetts in the Berkshires.

OP: was your plant grafted with four different hibiscus varieties? If so, all the pink flowers would be on one section of the plant. I assume the other grafts may have died or just haven't bloomed.

Thanks lots of blooms now all painted lady not sure why it had a tag with four different colours..oh well painted lady is good enough

Re: the tag, sounds like a generic tag chosen so the grower could use the same tag for a mixed lot of hibiscus. I've seen similar tags for other plants. I bought an abutilon this spring labeled "Bella Mix" with all of the colors in the mix shown on the tag.

HCARR... YOU HAVE A TROPICAL HIBISCUS WHICH IN UR AREA HAS TO BE BROUGHT IN DURING WINTER... ONLY A LUCKY FEW (ZONE 8+) CAN GROW THEM OUTSIDE...
