Anything blooming is hard for me to throw out in summer but when winter approaches I think about getting rid of some that never bloomed.. but never thought about throwing them out though... maybe give them away to someone who would like to have one and can take care of them well.

Nope I'd give it away. Funny though I purchase a maui rainbow from him and mine looks nothing like that.I'll see if I have a picture to post. I'm learning more and more that you need to know, really know, who your buying from.

that's right. people sell cuttings and probably think 'it'll be years before they bloom, and by that time they'll forget who they bought it from.'

It does finally come back to bite you.

When I first got into this hobby I like his stuff. Relatively big multiple tips and nice colors...then I started getting smaller cuttings and they didn't bloom true. If you just want something he fine, but if you want a specific some thing. ..go elsewhere. If I could find a fairly priced source for plain yellow ND white, unnamed cuttings, for give away to friends...probably not even use him anymore.

Honestly, I have discarded plants before - usually because 1) if I don't get rid of it and leave it sitting around I may change my mind LOL 2) if I think it's underwhelming or not a good plant, I don't want to give it away to someone else and have them left with a not so great plant...

But I probably should just set it out on the curb, that way I didn't give it to anyone haha

could altering it's environment (light, soil, h20 cycle) & feedings help the plant develop into a stronger perfomer? Maybe if you try cross pollinating its flowers with your biggest and best performer you will end up with even stronger hybrids.

Irene, well, it gets fertilized like all the others. Maybe once the plant gets bigger. But it doesn't hold a candle to Penang Peach. Maui Rainbow opened up a few more blooms:

I looked up a Maui Rainbow and it does exist! And the flowers are supposed to be three inches. Maybe try some fertilizer to spruce it up. I think it's very pretty by the way. If you toss it please send me a limb first! Ha!Ha!Ha!

I would never throw away a Plumeria out! I would give it away to someone that would give it a good home. I know lots of people would want that. If you don't want it ship it to me! Ill pay for it! Lol but really find it a home instead of throwing it away.

I would never throw away a live and growing plant! If you don't want it, possibly you would donate it to someone else?

Thanks all for your thoughts. I'm extremely busy and do not have time to send/mail anything out. Sorry! I will decide what I'll do with this in the Fall, then may offer it as a curb-side pickup. Not sure yet.
