Tanaka/tas is now part of hitachi. I also have a tbc-373 that was Dad's. I've got Dad's going but only by brute force and ignorance. Have replaced points with an electronic ignition module. All the perishable parts seem to be no longer available.

Out of curiousity, which "perishable parts"? The clutch shoes? I ask because there may be other sources of compatible parts. The ignition "magnet flywheel???" looks like the one on a Echo srm200da. If u want to confirm if below is same-o same-o, email me and i can give u the dimensions.
