When will the rain stop? What to do?

In the past 7 days we have had some where in the range of 12 to 16 inches (31 to 41cm) of rain. It's currently pouring outside and I'm forced to keep my Adeniums in the garage. My question is, how long can I keep them in there during the growing season before they are effected?

I pull them out when we get sun but have to move them back shortly after. With them in ceramic pots and weighing about 40lbs (18kg) each it gets tiresome moving them so much.

I'm considering reporting them in an extremely fast draining soil but worry about them not getting the nutrients they need.

I really enjoy having mine in the 'gritty mix' that is usually mentioned on this forum. My adeniums are seemingly very happy in it. I use a dilute fertilizer with every watering. I think it does great to avoid standing water in the pots, and the plants don't seem to have problems with nutrition.

Thank you for the info. I think I'll have to look that mix up and repot soon.

Nicholas, I am having the same issues up here. I have not tried putting them in the garage. My bigger plants and seedlings seem to be ok. But I really worry about them. We has a morning of sun, then more rain. My newest seeds are spouting Hurray.

I'm glad to hear that the seeds are still sprouting. That's my newest concern is I hope mine with sprout with so many cloudy days. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
