Is my pumpkin plant dying?

I'm pretty new here so I apologize if I break any rules. I have a pumpkin plant that has been growing well since mid May and has three small pumpkins growing on it. I'm starting to see wilting and yellowing near the base of the plant and I want to know if it's dying(and how or if I can stop that) or deficient of something(and how I go about adding whatever nutrients it needs).

Do you mean just the leafs around the base? Can you take a closeup picture of the base of the plant? Yellowing and dying of the older leaves is normal. Sometimes towards the end of season the base of the plant will have few if any leafs left. Are you runners looking good and healthy. ?

The base of the plant is right in the middle of this first picture.

The plant runs around the entire garden save for about 2 or 3 feet on the right side. They're only all wilty like that because it's blazing hot right now. The leaves are for the most part all still green, but the powdery white stuff(mildew?) can be found randomly throughout all of the leaves.

Hard to see from the pics, but given the size of the plant, yes I think its normal for the older leafs to die off and yellow. Mine are doing that too. Any signs of borer damage? If so I would make sure to try and cover remaining vines with dirt if possible to encourage more root development.
