there is an invasive shrub that should not be propagated .. if for no other reason.. if you have one.. you probably have others.. lol ..

Are you serious? I've obviously IDed the plant since I put the name above. Telling me to Google it is not helpful and its actually kind of insulting that you assume I didn't try to already. I'm pretty sure honeysuckle is not an invasive species and even if it was I would still want to propogate it because it is beautiful and one of the best plants I can find for what I'm doing. I have no idea what "vine H" is, but I have a suspicion that it is as irrelevant to the question as everything else you told me. I also already knew that different plants need to be propagated differently. That's why the question you completely ignored was as specific as it was. Unless you are actually referring to the individual type of honeysuckle and proving that you did read the question and decided to disregard it, it is a trumpet honeysuckle.

Turtle - don't jump on ken........he makes a number of valid points. There are dozens of species of honeysuckle, both vines and shrubs, and a number ARE invasive species. If by "trumpet honeysuckle" you are referring to Lonicera sempervirens (the correct botanical identification), then Googling that name together with the word 'propagation' would turn up any number of sources outlining how to accomplish. I've linked to one here. You can do it without rooting hormone but you will get better and faster results if you do use it.
