Ladylotus, you where have you been hiding all of these beauties? You have some unique species there that we don't get to see often, so what a treat. May I ask where you located the black arabicum and dwarf white giant seeds?

I'm excited for you on your newly sown batches. I really like the setup you have there with the totes. I am assuming that they must be a shallower tote? If you could get a photo from the side some time I would appreciate it. I have many seed to sow but my indoor space is crammed with seedlings.

Tracy, thank you so much for your kinds comments. I love the totes I use. I bought them for $10 at walmart. They are the under the bed storage totes similar to this:

With regards to the seeds I frequent several different facebook adenium sites and one of the gentleman from Taiwan sold me the Arabicum seeds.

This morning after planting up all my seeds I placed an order with AdeniumCenter from Ebay. I ordered a few different arabicum and socrotanum seeds. I hope the seeds are nice and as they are reported.

Rick, drats...I know I over do things. I cannot help myself, I cannot even explain what in the world I am going to do with all these plants but I cannot stop for some reason. I believe I need assistance. LOL. Oh well, we could have worse habits.

I can relate exactly to your persistent drive for sowing seeds. Habitual, yes. But as you mention we could be doing much worse. It doesn't help that we encourage each other to over-do it but isn't that the fun part?

I did not drill holes as once I placed the moistened soil I placed the lid on and did not water again until I removed the lid. Then I was just very careful with my water regimen. I tend to be an under waterer.

good going tj, more is better than less :)... cull them later on, pick the best ones, and use the rest for some experiments, play with them, sacrifice some seedlings to gain knowledge and learn from mistakes, im not sure how many seedlings i killed already lol

for your older seedlings, i suggest to transfer them already with a fresh soil, well the one in the community pot, they will start fighting for light, you will notice later on some seedlings will bend sideways trying to reach for some sunlight,when you transplant use some root hormone to water them to prevent shocks

Jericson, thank you so much for the information. I will follow your suggestions. Since you mentioned the root hormone or root stimulator, I started using it on all my plants and wow...it has made a huge difference.

I just ordered quite a few different Aribicum seeds and I will definitely be giving the root training a try once they begin putting on some growth. It is so exciting. I have seedlings of all stages dating back 6 years. But I did have quite a few of them die in my greenhouse until I figured out that I just cannot grow them in there during the winter months because I cannot afford to keep it heated to 50 - 55 degrees in the evenings. Oh well, I will tuck them all away in my house during the winter months.

I would love to hear of any exciting experiments you have going on or plan to do with your plants.

Ladylotus, did you receive your seeds from Adeniumcenter yet?

Tracy, I did. They were very nice and healthy and have already started sprouting. The catch will be 4 or 5 years from now to see if I am growing what I bought. Do you know what I mean? I am always skeptical when I am buying seeds as someone could sell me plain arabicums and I would never know for 4 or 5 years.

Bore who? No way would we ever be bored with your seedlings. I love pretty blooms but there is so much more to admire, the caudex, the leaves, each one has characteristics that makes it unique. Keep the photos coming! I am in love with that dark caudex seeding with the pink flecks along the leaves. I am now on the prowl for some Black Arabicum seeds....

tj its rcn if it has small leafs, deep green color, thin leaf around edges, glossy leaves with no hair on both sides, and sometimes have yellow stripes like gold spotted leaves. and main branches has plenty semi branches, and that's a nice color,

They're looking great. Should get some group shots for us along with the individuals. By the way i don't think we'd be here if we were at risk of getting bored from adenium.
