Replacing linen closet doors with divided light french doors. We will frost the glass and backlight with can lights. Like we did for the kitchen pantry doors photo below but with Polished Nickel hardware:

Shower will be white subway, platinum grout and marble hex floor/niche - we will be doing the same marble hex on the floor throughout the bathroom with the platinum grout

Love your plans! Just a heads up though on the marble hex shower floor, do a search here. Many have had issues with it not drying out underneath over time and then it requires replacement. That being said, it is beautiful though.

This is a complete DIY using Home Depot materials. We are keeping our budget under $10K. We plan on selling our house in a few years so don't want to over invest but also want to do a decent job on the remodel for re-sale value. We're pretty handy (re-modeled our entire kitchen for $7500).

Progress has been a bit slow on our DIY bathroom due to work travel schedules. Tomorrow I will be finishing the paint inside my Makeup Vanity Closet and tiling a backsplash in there. This week we will be pulling out the vanity/sinks and rough plumbing for freestanding tub filler and freestanding tub. While DH is traveling after next week, I will tile the floor.

Here's some progress pix. Cabinets below will be painted white. DH handmade the top.

DH installed upper cabinets which I will paint white and added french doors which we will frost the glass.

And tomorrow I paint and tile. White subway tile backsplash with white ceramic chair rail.

A quick question though... do you think I could take the shower doors off and use this tile saw in there so as not to make too much of a mess. I hate the idea of going downstairs and out to the garage to use the saw.

I think that is a good idea. You have easy access to water to keep the pan filled. I would wash any solids down the drain though.

Here's my tiling job. I think it looks good - considering it's the first time I've ever tiled anything in my life!

We had a bit of a delay. Took us forever to find a plumber willing to rough in the toilet, shower and tub... let me do the tiling and then come back to set the tub, shower faucet & toilet.

Meanwhile, since we were waiting, DH thought it would look pretty cool to install a wood wall for behind the toilet.

Love that wood wall!. So cool.

It's just random wood left over from demoing the Jacuzzi tub.

Dry fit tiling. Spent a better part of the day getting all the prep work done before actually installing the tile. By the time I got around to actually installing the tile - two rows in, I was beat. I will be back at it tomorrow.

Those hex tiles look great. Are they real marble or porcelain?

That is a lot of hex! Have your arms fallen off from doing all of that grout?

Diane - French doors lead into the master bedroom and there will be frosted backlit french doors on my makeup closet/vanity.

Errant - they nearly did fall off!

Guess what I'm doing today - more tile and just taped shower and going to do primer coat of RedGard.

Toilet is to the left, shower to the right.

This bathroom is going to be spectacular when you're finished. Can't wait to see it.

Yes indeed! I've been working on the shower. It's been a bit of a slow go due to switching jobs and DH traveling for work. Still have a third wall and shower base to do.
