Not all that many bulbs flower in fall - colchicum and a couple of species of fall blooming crocus. Also nerines. Rain lilies or naked ladies tend to bloom pretty late in the season but can't necessarily be relied upon to bloom in fall.

Cyclamen hederifolium blooms in late summer. It may be too late to plant tubers but you could put in some flowering plants from pots and they'll bloom again next year.

Nerine bowdenii, Sternbergia lutea and Schizostylis are three more if your climate allows.

Thanks everybody.! I have made a list of a variety of bulbs-including ones suggested by y'all. They are of all different bloom times. My plan is just to throw them in my prepared bed randomly and just see what happens.! Sounds fun, huh.?! I'll let y'all know how it turns out. Thanks again for the suggestions. I found lots of bulbs that I wasn't familiar with and now could very well be my favorites.

LOL!! I never consider Schizostylis to be be a bulb. I guess it is in the same way that Siberian iris are a 'bulb'. Maybe because it is evergreen in my climate.....and you seldom ever see any 'bulbs' for sale, only started plants.......whatever :-) But yes, that's a great, long blooming choice.

liatris and nodding onion bloom late summer here. You could buy potted liatris. Gladiolis bloom the year you plant them...they might start blooming now if you put them in now, but not sure. Potted easter lilies are so confused they kind of bloom at random the first year.
