No, F. benjamina is tropical. It's either evergreen or dead (or adjusting, if moved.)

Thanks, I didn't mean dormant as in dropping all of its leaves. I know it's an evergreen tree. What I meant was, provided the right light in the winter months, will it be able to slowly grow or will it be come dormant growth wise? I have many ficus trees, normally during the winter they would completely stop growing. For this coming winter I have artificial light I'll be adding over the tree. 5000 and 6500 kelvin, 500 watts, 8000 lumen, 12 hour per day cycles. Thanks.

No, they don't. It's tropical so in its natural habitat it will grow all year round.

I think I was just trying to see how slow of fast they grow during the winter months. I know it depends on conditions, but it's safe to say, even under grow lights, my tree will grow nothing like it does during the summer months recieving outdoor direct sunlight for 4 months. I know they're not a deciduous tree.

Dave, I believe that if you can give it light at a required intensity, and a "tropical" temperature range, it will continue to grow. Please do not ask me what the figures are. I do not know. There was this one occasion when I was expecting to water a well-growing F. benjamina in the lobby of a hotel; and I was very glad that I always probed the root ball before watering. The sample came up quite wet. I thought that some well-meaning person had watered it in the interim. But for the next 6 weeks or so, I had to be very careful with that single plant. I tried to find out what, if anything had changed - without success. It must have been one of those occasions when Mother Nature tried to teach me a lesson. She does that often enough to keep me humble.

Nothing special about figs. Full sun, drown then daily. Summer Heat and fertilizer. You cant really overwater a fig

You can if it's in a pot. Container growing is very different from in ground culture. And indoor container growing is even more different.
