Golden oak cabinet kitchen

I have a golden oak cabinet kitchen. I'm ready to change the floor from vinyl to laminate. Does anyone recommend any colors? Some say match the color. Some say totally different. We are having trouble deciding. If anyone has a picture, I would love to take a look at it as well.

Thanks for the help

Either match the color or darker. Some say darker to weight the room, some say it does not matter. Bring samples home to view with cabinets, to match the tone. I have also heard good things about quality "wood" vinyl planks and "wood" tile planks.
