Coffee table: I would suggest a round gold/glass coffee table and end tables. The room is tight and being able to see through the glass will make the room feel bigger. Gold plays well with navy blue. I would also remove the wingback chair. It's crowding the space and you don't need it.

Pillows: I would replace the center pillow with whatever reddish color is in the floral pillows on the sofa just for a "pop". I would then get pattern (not floral) pillows for each chair but with a navy background or for more "pop" I would get pillows with the same background color of the reddish color from sofa.

Lamps: Navy lamp with gold base and white shade with gold (See pic)

Artwork: I do one large, horizontal piece and framed with a dark woodtone to pick up what going on in the dining room and your buffet.

Thank you Nancy,
those are wonderful suggestions. I was thinking of that sort of lamp. And the glass tables are great ideas. You are right, it is a tight space and that would keep it as open as possible. Thanks for taking the time and sharing your ideas.

You are welcome-blessings!

I like Nancy's first coffee table. I would look for a two piece set of art since the mirror in the dining room is so large (and visible from the living room). Ex.

And like magic, you have transformed my L/R. Love the two pic idea. Love the lamp ideas! Thank you so much. Both of you have a great eye and I'm grateful for the help.
