Off-White IKEA Bodbyn looks dirty with white trim/molding, backsplash?

When white and off white are side by side, the off-white sometimes looks dirty. Do you think that off-white kitchen cabinets like IKEA Bodbyn should be paired with matching subway tile and molding/trim that are also off-white? I have cheap white subway tile and paint are readily available since I have leftovers, but will they make the cabinets look dirty and discolored?

I have a similar layout to the picture below, except that my cabinets go to the ceiling with large crown molding/soffit.

Should I buy off-white subway tile and off-white paint?

Had a similar issue with a new Kohler tub; white subway tile made it look dingy. Went with a mat creamy white subway and used a darker grout.

By "trim" are you referring to the soffit? If so - soffit should match the cabinets in an off-white, but white subway tile would be fine!

Off white definitely has more character and warmth in both cases than regular white..

I wanted to know how the grey bodbyn would work with the Island in the white. any advise on this would help. also want to build base with trim detail around bottom of the island to make island look like a nice piece of furniture.

Either blend with an off-white tile OR go with a natural neutral: marble look or pearl or slightly darker with a beige (not gray with off-white)

My neighbour recently did an Ikea bodbyn with subway tile that looks great. I am going to get you the info. In the meantime, I am wondering what you decided for wall paint?

I'd love to hear what you ended up doing too. I'm in the same boat currently. The whole time I was painting the cabinets, the white (& it's not even the whitest of white) subway tile was looking fine beside it. Now that I've got the cabinets painted, to me, they seem to not match. :( Now, I'm stuck....and looking at maybe putting a Sahara marble as my backsplash. But that's a lot more moolah ;-) ...and it ruins the sort of urban-y look I was going for with having regular white subway installed.
