Hi! I have been struggling with Thrips spreading in my entire yard since June and Gall Midge on my potted Hibiscus. I have followed suggestions for the Gall Midge by adding Bayer Tree and Shrub granules to the soil then spraying with Bayer 3 and 1. I have done the Bayer 3 and 1 at least 3 times already. Leaves continue to turn yellow on a daily basis with the small buds turning bright yellow and following off. I pick up the buds and pluck the yellow leaves daily. I am also experiencing thrips on passion flower vines , mandevilla other vine plants and several other tropical and non tropical landscape plants. I know they are thrips from the little slender cacoon type thing you see on the back of the plants . When you shake the plants tiny gnat like things fly out. I have sprayed those plants with Spinosid every week for about 4 weeks. Nothing seems to be working! I am starting to prune entire plants back to the stems only just to get rid of the leaves. Does anyone have any other suggestions for me? Thanks for any help!
