Lol Dave. I was going to say, between one and two weeks.. We should have Kandhi start a blooming pool.. Lol ( my Waimea bloomed) Stunning coloration, hard to capture it in a pic.. Thought of you..

Yes, definitely, kandhi! Probably a couple of weeks like your VA pros above have said.

I have a couple tiny inflos that are late but we have at least two more months of summer left.

Laura, Dave & Jandey1, Hope what you say comes true:). This is celadine and has inflo for first time.. will update you in 2 weeks.

It will bloom, but I do not think it's Celadine ;)

ron0710, you are right it's not celadine, it was another plant next to celadine and I do not have the name for it :(

Agree.. I have few more with inflo growth but I have no hope with them getting any bigger soon with the weather we have now :(

Kandhi, you can always have them under a strong grow light indoors :)

Jandey1, that's an option I have on mind..

You will see flowers witouth any doubt. Other thing is to have the floral stem maturing.... With your hardiness maybe a month a half more?

Bloomed finally

Celadine still teasing, and seems be in this bud condition last 3 days. Looks like any day but every morning I check looks just fluffed up little more... but refuses to open :(

Kandhi I have had exactly the same issue with one plant just identical to the one you showed...Is it the authentical Celadine? In my case, like you the flower has Salmon reverse petals, progressive yellow and very slow opening, even weeks .At the end after a few flowers opened They started to open at a normal phase...

It is celadine as far as I know. I hope it opens this week.

Khandi, that's a beaut. Do you know the variety name?

Dave, Its pretty big flower and it is tahitian sunset. I bought it for its fragrance 3 years ago and bloomed for 1st time this year. There was strong floral fragrance in bud phase but after bloom I did notice any fragrance.

I didn't know that the double line in the margin was an indicator of the Celadine variety. Nice to know because mine also have it!!!! Here I post a picture of 11 cuttings that a neighbour gave me in june aprox. The cuttings were prunning material from a 4 meter high and wide, surviving winters at almost 0 C. Result:

100% succes rootting rate, I didn't cut off the inflorencences...I wanted to check how they develop roots and flowers at the same time. Very beautiful flowers, incredible scent and a lot of plants to share the aloha spirit. :___D.
