How long should I expect a bloom to remain on the plant....opening to dropping off the plant?

One of these dropped off in about a week......Normal? This pant was purchased in bloom with buds. The original bloom dropped in a day, the other opened three days later and dropped in about a week.

Just a newbie question. Thanks.

Bill, I would say that most of my blooms from just opening (showing strong colors) to fading is a week or just over. I find that if they are in a more well lit area and not full sun sometimes they go a bit longer.

Outside of rain causing damage to blooms.

I do not know if the rest of you have the same results, but I am noticing my single blooming flowers remain on and looking nice much longer than my double flowers. Have you guys noticed this as well? Or am I just biased. LMBFBO.

Yes my single blooms last much much longer( 2-3 wks) than the doubles & triples(1 week)

Ladylotus, You know. I am not sure. The one single white w greenish center is still blooming and I know with new flowers, but will have to make note. My one tree from Rinoa (Aurum Crown) has been blooming for the last three weeks. Surprising as all of the trees from Rinoa this spring are all blooming. Such a treat.

I've had roughly the same range as Dr. G. Also adenium flowers tend to kind of melt after getting drenched; they last about a week longer than they would in bright shade or dappled light. White blooms get spotty after about a week but do not drop for about another week.

I am finding that the singles do hold up longer too.
