At my property, in the woods there is groundhog tunnel I think for more than 10 years. I do not know how intensive it is. There are at least two places, about 200' apart.

So far, I've trapped 14 groundhogs, one at one tunnel and 13 at the main tunnels. I've moved them to location at least 5 miles away.

I do not know if all 14 groundhogs used to live in the same tunnels. I do not know if that is how they lived, or some could have come from outside, which happened to come to the vacant tunnels.

My trap is still open near the main groundhog tunnels. No activity for the past week. Just hope that they have all gone.

I do not know if I should try to fill and cover the old tunnels. But if the groundhogs wan to get in, they can always come to another entrance, or just dig back in....
