That looks real good. The Black Krims are great but they crack a lot in my area.

Are you sure it is BK? I am asking because BKs are round with green shoulder.

But then, It seems to me that what you have is a fused fruit.

It definately is BK. It has some green shoulder, just difficult to see on photo!

I'm jealous. I love the BKs but mine turned out to be some kind of red cross this year. I'll get rid of those seeds and start with new ones next.

I've never seen a Krim like that, but it sure does look GOOD! These are the ones I just picked, first ones to ripen on the vine. I have 10 BK plants that are just huge and loaded with tomatoes.

The one on the far right has it's own nose. No clue why/how it happens, but I have about a dozen like that that are growing.

Here is my large BK from the first photo cut open! No doubt it was fused.

Weird looking noses/phallic abnormalities, makes gardening fun. :)

I also have most of the Mr. Stripey tomatoes either catfaced or fused. Makes for some garish looking fruit, fortunately my taste buds are not prejudicial and eat them anyway.

BK did really well for me this year, too. I did have some cracking but not bad enough to prevent me from eating them! :) They were all a very nice size and the plant itself was very robust.

Chris, this is what my black krims look like once they are cut.

Regardless of the variety, that pic with all the slices sure does look good! Some fresh coarse sea salt and a slight drizzle of balsamic would make that heaven in my eyes. Hope it tasted as good as it looks.

My Black Krims have been enormous this year. It has pumped out more big fruit than any previous year. Mine are up to 1.5lbs each and flavor is still stellar!

I found this buried deep in the plant. If it wasn't for the cracks, it would be an award winner, lol. The color is just incredible with perfect shading from top to bottom. I will use my magic wand and make it disappear shortly.

II would say it is about 3" in diameter. They are starting to ripen en masse and it is a race to get them before the septoria takes the plant.

OP's tomato does not look like a Black Krim to me either. Way too scalloped. And too red, not enough brown.

It was very brown. I think the lighting of my camera distorted that. Amd this was a fused flower fruit.

It looks significantly more distorted than the other fruits on the plant but I wasn't sure what to think as it is my first time growing BK.

Grace, any variety that has normally roundish fruits and now and then you get a boat shaped one, it is more likely a double fused. I got several of them on my Brandy boys this year.

On the second thought the ones in your picture look like my Black From Tula.
