I have a stairwell that is a basic "go downstairs" area. I want to do something to lighten it up and make it look more inviting. I've redone the color of the walls in a faux yellow/gold that looks great, and am looking for ideas of how to make the area look inviting and welcoming. Ideas for covering the stairs, please, besides the frizze carpet going down. Wood? Something fun? Thanks.
