Wow! This plant is only 4 years old? You must be doing something right. My 4 year old plant can't touch this. Congrats on your success.

Grow tent, 18 hrs of light, killer soil mix. Adeniums grow fast their first two and three years, or so I read and then learned by practice. I was going for big. They will grow fast for the first few years. They will fill out and not look as tall and lanky as time goes by. Its parent is 23 years old and only half the size. I bought it and lejardan back in 97 and it was five years old then and hardly a foot tall.

Abrahamx, this blows my mind. How long did you keep the plant in the tent under this level of intensity to get this result? If you have been following Martin from Denmark's latest [thread[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/adenium-garden-martin-in-denmark-part-ii-dsvw-vd~3250818), he has just ordered one of these tents with a full spectrum LED light. It is really cool to see someone that has so successfully grown Adenium adult plants under the LEDs. So interesting, thanks for sharing.

t5 flouresent lighting not led. Im in MI. That seed pic was taken in dec and it was in the tent like that till spring when I moved it outside for summer 2013, then back in the tent for winter, then back out side for summer of 2014 then I over wintered it in a east facing window(the best I have now) for winter 2015 now out on deck again for summer 2015. So basically in the tent for two fall/winters. Transplanted twice so far and prunned several times. Took a foot and a half off the top last year as they were getting thin. I appreciate your intrest and link to some curious reading I now have. More of dad/mom...edit: I did not take the plant outside for summer 2013, it stayed in the tent. First year outside was 2014 about two years after the seed sprouted.

this is a few of the other plant that I grew at the same time. one of the two seeds that made it. It was always alot more or the runt but doing well now at 37" Note all the leaves. When growing in the tent it never lost a leaf and when it did sprout/branch was right there waiting to grow out. The other one lost these last year when not in the tent.

only transplanted this one once. Cant wait to see whats going on under the soil
