Belle Story has a similar form.

I have Belle Story and its much pinker in my garden. And as it turns out K&M doesn't distribute Belle Story I wish they did, I'd love it on fortuniania, my Dr.H grafted one is a weak little thing.

All are in the same color range, AR & SC have myrrh. Difficult to tell because it sometimes takes three years for a new plant to build enough roots to start producing good petals & correct flower form. Could still be Tamora....

I'm thinking it's Ambridge because I had St. Cecilia and it was just slightly different in form and scent. It definately has the myrrh scent though. Its definitely not Tamora because I have Tamora and the stems are ridiculously thorny. This one has much less thorn.

It's probably Ambridge, a good rose to have, I've always liked it but keep bumping it down my wishlist. St. Cecilia is one of my absolute favorites. I'm testing out fortuniata budded plants and placing an Austin order with K&M, have you noticed any Rose Mosaic Virus from your previous orders with them? Please let me know, thanks.

Actually, now that you mention it, yes. My Jubilee Celebration did recently prododuce a leaf that showed signs of RMV. I took a photo to show you. It's the only leaf in the entire year that has shown this, and it's only on my Jubilee Celebration. But it does look like its virused. I have another Jubilee Celebration from them that has not shown any virus so far.

Thank you for letting me know. There's internet chatter about K&M RMV. Some of their varieties/mother plants have RMV, but not others. Since it's a gamble I will order my plants from somewhere else. Besides, they haven't called me back in weeks about a shipping quote, I guess they don't want my money.

At my previous house I didn't care about RMV and eventually all my rare roses succumbed due to infected sap on pruning shears. I recently moved and just installed a new rose garden, so am trying my best this time around not to introduce RMV. It might be a fruitless endeavor but I have to give it a try....

I recently returned a bareroot Jubilee Celebration at my local nursery and replaced the Golden Celebration I left behind at the old house. I couldn't tell by pictures if I liked the colors on JC. I'm irritated by color fading Austins, so decided to revisit the nursery later to see it in bloom. Right now I'm trying to decide a purchase between Brother Cadfael or Princess Alexandra of Kent.

Looking at your pic again, the rose also resembles The Shepherdess... If they carry it.

They don't carry The Shepherdess, but I grow it and although the color and shape is similar, this one seems to be slightly different. It's flowers are bigger and lean more towards peach while The Shepherdess tends towards more buff in my climate.

How do you like The Shepherdess? It doesn't seem to be as popular or widespread as others, but could be a sleeper. The HMF pics aren't very exciting and what's the fragrance? It looks so similar to Ambridge Rose which is excellent and tough to beat, albeit blackspot prone. I almost got one this year but decided to do more research.
