Are you talking hardy hibiscus or tropical? Have you tried the moist papertowel method in the fridge in a baggie (DENO method)?

Hello, am sorry I didn't state that this is for hardy Hibiscus. I have tried just about all methods,including the paper towel. I think if I could nick them, that should work but I know I tried that in the past too.

Up here in the North, the hardy Hibiscus are absolutely stunning to most who are not aware they exist. I lost many lost winter with no snow cover followed by -30f temps in February. I would like to get 50+ seedlings started for next year.

And you have tried wintersowing? (sorry to be redundant with questions).

I grew 2 (planted about 10 seeds) wintersowing last winter. One was VERY late in sprouting, so I almost thought it was kind of a flop. I realize 2 out of ten isnt HUGE, but the seedlings seem to be growing well this summer.

Hi I'm new here in garden web but I have 98% growing hardy hibiscus from seed by nicking ,then put in glass of water with hydrogen peroxide for 2 to 3 days or more, if you see them sprouting or you see the white coming out from seed then put in container with potting soil In warm bright place. I'm not good in English but I love gardening ,still a lot to learn ^-^
