How about hanging the mirrors horizontally over the furniture piece, one above the other, like this:

The last picture is the best placement. Hanging the is not nessesery, but if, painting a frame behind would look great.

The lamps are too big in front of the mirrors in the first pic. I like the balance in the last pic best.
